The “Being Mortal” documentary is a mess: It’s not like it was some masterpiece of filmmaking, or anything. But still. It’s a mess. And we already have the movie version of the story (it can be found on Netflix). But the real story is that it was filmed by the same Hollywood people who produced “That Thing You Do” — the documentary that went viral last year about the life of a homeless man. But now, there is a major shakeup at the movie’s helm.
I don’t know if it’s a publicity ploy, a real change in filmmakers, or a combination of both. Whatever the case, it’s a big deal. I don’t think it’s right for Murray’s co-stars to make any declarations on his behalf. But I also don’t know if there’s any such thing as the golden rule when it comes to these things. And I don’t know if the right way to handle it is with a simple “Sorry, Bill” tweet.

They even said at the end of last year’s documentary that it wasn’t all about him, and he made a lot of money in the process. They even said that he put out the best film he had in him.
So I hope he doesn’t do anything to offend anyone or take advantage of anyone. He’s on his own side as far as I’m concerned. But I also don’t hold it against him if he does. He doesn
