Open race hate is a cornerstone of MSNBC News. MSNBC, the first network in television news to have a liberal tilt, has become one of the most influential news outlets in the country. Hosts as diverse as Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz have all won the Emmy Award for excellence in political analysis and commentary.

MSNBC, the first network in television news to have a liberal tilt, has become one of the most influential news outlets in the country. Hosts as diverse as Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz have all won the Emmy Award for excellence in political analysis and commentary.

Yet many of MSNBC’s most prominent hosts and commentators are themselves white supremacists or anti-Semites.

Former New York Times journalist, and current MSNBC commentator Keith Olbermann, is far from alone. Many of the hosts and commentators who have been most influential in the media during the past year and a half have been either white supremacists or anti-Semites.

Some of the hosts and commentators, like MSNBC host and former congressman (D-TN) Phil Hart, have had their careers destroyed by their anti-Semitism – including being fired by NBC for criticizing Israel and having his contract canceled by another media company, Current TV.

Keith Olbermann, host of the “Hardball” show on MSNBC, has had one of his most notable anti-Semitic episodes in recent months. He is often criticized for his pro-Israel advocacy, most recently by his political enemy, Tom Tancredo (R-CO), a member of Congress who, like Hart, defended the Israeli attack on Gaza.

In a January 22 appearance on a local television show, Olbermann blamed Israel on the “collapse” of the Palestinian Authority and said that this was a deliberate policy by Israel, without specifically mentioning the Jewish people. Later that day, the Anti-Defamation League called on Olbermann to apologize for using anti-Semitic remarks and retract the claim that Palestinians were to blame for the PA’s failure.
